Outreach at Saint Andrews

Our outreach ministries are some of the things that make St. Andrews unique.  We strive to make real differences wherever we can, based on our second Biblical principle: Serve Neighbors in Need With the Heart of Christ.  When we have the opportunity we not only feed someone today but we try to get them to a point where they can feed themselves.  For instance, over the past 18 months we have helped a single mom (through our Good Samaritan Fund) every month while she completes her degree work at Lamar.  She graduates in May.  We've helped her get to a point where she can 'feed herself' & her family.

We do:

  • Meals-On-Wheels every week
  • We cook and serve at Some Other Place 'Soup Kitchen' every month
  • Our members do a Weiss Park ministry with the homeless population of Beaumont several times a year by going there with grills (and 'grillers') and taking clothes for them.
  • We make 'Kindness Kits' which contain a few necessities to give to those we see on street corners with a 'need help' sign.  These kits contain, among other things, water, juice, small canned items, a list with phone numbers of all the 'help' agencies in Beaumont and in the winter, socks and gloves.
  • We provide monthly worship services at two retirement facilities
  • Our Deacons have a wonderful Grief Ministry
  • Our Pastoral Care Team does daily Hospital Visitation
  • Our Youth group has gone on several mission trips to Mexico as well as disaster recovery here and in neighboring states.

These are a few of our local ministries and we also support various national and international ministries.  If doing ministry is something you enjoy we have a place for you!  Come join us as we seek to SERVE NEIGHBORS IN NEED.
